So, back in April I went to Paris and ran a marathon…and then things got hectic/I got unmotivated. So, really this little spot here has been kind of neglected.
It’s not that I haven’t done some fun stuff!
I did the Pixie Dust Challenge out in California and got to spend an evening with a great group of former young people that I used to teach.
I went to Fredericksburg VA and participated in the Historic Half – Pulled a muscle (0r something…) and ended up walking, well, the last 9 miles 🙂
There were the three Riverfront Scrambles that the Hartford Marathon Foundation does every summer, a trip to visit my dad (who happened to be hospitalized with a fractured pelvis at the time), a visit to Hershey Park – always a summer favorite!
I started a new job when I got home from Paris, but unfortunately lost that job at the end of July and started looking immediately! Due to start something new soon…just not sure when!
And, the fall race season has started.
I completed the Disneyland Half Marathon over Labor Day weekend, and then 2 weeks later the Volition Half Marathon down in Orlando. And, as you can imagine, the Orlando trip included some time at the World – staying with Angela, Nate and Na’Cho so Phred got to come along!
Then when I got home, “ran” the Beat the Blerch Half Marathon in New Jersey (lesson learned, trail runs are not my thing!)
And now, the season REALLY kicks into gear!
So, the plan is to catch up as I go, but keep current – Once I start this new job it’ll be a lot easier to get into a routine, that’s for sure! And I need some routine since I’ve been slacking on almost everything!
Happily, Autumn is here as well and I can’t wait to share all of the fun with you! Thanks for hanging in there!!
